Jon Carlo Alivio

Carlo believes in creating and delivering planning and design solutions that are innovative, sustainable, and regenerative. He strives to strike a balance in making places that focus on the people’s user experience without compromising the natural environment, whilst at the same time making sure that they are inclusive, equitable, and celebrate the socio-cultural and historical context.

He has over 15 years of diversified experience in the built environment industry as an Urban Designer, Architect, and Planner. Originally trained as an architect, he also has a Master’s Degree in Urban Design from the National University of Singapore.

His portfolio includes master planning and architectural design projects of varying scales and typologies located in Singapore, the ASEAN region, China, the Middle East, and the UK for clients that include government bodies and some of the top developers in Asia.

As an urban designer, Carlo has had solid experience in bridging the worlds of real estate economics, urban planning, architecture, and landscape design through orchestrating meaningful and productive collaborations with consultants from a variety of design and engineering disciplines.

As a Senior Master Planner at grant associates, he is committed to developing master plans that are landscape-led and which prioritize nature-based solutions to achieve healthy and liveable cities.
