

Paula Curmi
B.E.&A.(Hons), Perit, M.A. LA (Hons); CMLISenior Landscape Architect
Originally trained as an Architect and later specialised in Landscape Architecture, Paula is particularly interested in the interaction between the built and unbuilt forms and how they can be seamlessly designed to function together on an aesthetic, technical and ecological level.
In context with today’s challenges in the face of climate change, Paula strongly believes in integrated, research-led and ecologically inspired design approaches that contribute towards multifunctional landscapes that are meaningful, identity rich, ecological and resilient.
Project experience on public realm projects ranges between conceptual design of both UK and international competitions and bids, significant engagement with the local community during the design process, through to construction of UK delivered residential masterplan projects.
Her most recent projects include the concept design of external and arrival gardens for a landmark destination airport in the UAE, concept design of a neighbourhood and nature conservation park in South Korea, Tower of London bid for the Golden Jubillee as well a as more intimate and detailed planting design for a private estate garden landscape in the UK. She has also worked closely on the design and implementation of a local public park at a canal side waterfront alongside residential streetscapes and communal gardens.
