Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus landscape vision takes shape in Bristol
After more than a decade in the making, Bristol’s new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus is now moving rapidly towards completion — and the wider landscape vision is beginning to emerge.
It has been a privilege to be part of the team delivering this landmark project for the University of Bristol from its early stages, leading the landscape and public realm design.
With final completion scheduled for this September, alongside the new station entrance and floating harbour walkway, the public realm is beginning to take shape — creating welcoming spaces that connect the campus with the city and open up this important part of Bristol.
The landscape proposals introduce generous tree planting, biodiverse landscapes and vibrant civic spaces designed to encourage social interaction and support everyday campus life.
Having followed the project through years of design development, workshops, drawings and site visits, it is especially rewarding to now see the vision becoming reality on site. The transformation of this former industrial area into a major new academic campus and civic destination highlights the defining role landscape can play in regeneration projects — shaping greener, more connected and more vibrant places for people and nature.
We look forward to seeing the completed campus open later this year.
