Grant Associates features in new book about ‘makers’ of Bath
Grant Associates is one of 18 innovators to feature in a brand-new book called Made in Bath which celebrates the creative spirit of ‘makers’ in Bath.
Made in Bath shares the stories of creatives, craftspeople, engineers and innovators based in the UNESCO World Heritage City, demonstrating how Bath is a hotbed of ideas and creativity as well as an important historic site.
The 94-page, hardcover book, printed on high quality paper and full of beautiful photography, aims to investigate the nature of making things, exploring the inspirations and processes of different, talented people who all share a philosophy of doing things well.
Covering a diverse range of sectors and disciplines, innovators appearing in the book alongside landscape architect Grant Associates include Bertinet Bakery, ceramics artist Maria Wojdat and hydraulics manufacturer Rotork.
The result of a collaboration between two Bath based makers, brand design studio Mytton Williams and printer Opal Print, Made in Bath is available to buy now through Amazon.
Andrew Grant, director and founder at Grant Associates, comments: “Made in Bath is a wonderful snapshot of the dynamic spirit and energy that drive Bath forward, ensuring our city is more than a heritage site but also a buzzing, future-focused place.
“This book, a lovely and tactile artefact in its own right, explores how a sense of place can stir the imagination with many of Bath’s makers crediting the city’s beauty as a source of inspiration. We feel privileged to tell our story alongside so many notable makers working in Bath today.”
