2025: A Year of Growth, Influence and Innovation for Grant Associates Singapore

More than a decade after the landmark success of Gardens by the Bay, our Singapore studio continues to mature, evolve, and deepen its design influence across the region.

In 2025, the studio marked a year defined by bold design achievements, successful collaborations, and meaningful contributions to the future of cities in Singapore and beyond. The team’s work this year reflects an expanding portfolio and a consistent commitment to reconnecting people with nature across every scale, programme and geography.

This year saw four significant project completions, each demonstrating the studio’s design agility and ecological sensibility:

  • Rainforest Wild Asia, Singapore – a pioneering, immersive wildlife and habitat experience rooted in deep ecological storytelling.
  • Geneo, Singapore – a next-generation workplace landscape that prioritises wellbeing and biophilic performance.
  • The Initial Sama, Singapore – a serviced residence and wellness centre, focused on recovery-focussed care.
  • Shenzhen Bay MixC Phase 2, China – a vibrant, people-focused public realm that has created a unique identify for the new Shenzhen district through lichen-inspired motifs.

Two other major projects have reached new stages. ParkCity Botanika in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which offers an elevated model for nature-centred community living, has launched for sales. And, Burswood Point in Perth, Australia – a transformative waterfront precinct reshaping the urban-nature interface – has been submitted for local planning.

The studio has also been enjoying new opportunities in overseas markets such as India and China, strengthening its long-term vision of contributing to resilient, biophilic cities across Asia. Over ten projects are currently in design in Singapore and overseas, with a further four more under construction.

This diverse portfolio spans residential, mixed-use, public realm, hospitality and ecological destinations which are all united by an ambition to create landscapes that foster meaningful, restorative relationships between people and nature.

Industry recognition and active participation in design dialogue

Our team in Singapore were also delighted to be honoured with 10 award wins in 2025 including the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards, the International Federation of Landscape Architects Asia-Pacific Region Awards, Tatler Homes Design Awards and the EdgeProp Singapore Excellence Awards.

Furthermore, the studio participated at two regional forums: Singapore Archifest Fringe and the Kluang Rail Festival in Malaysia, underscoring the studio’s leadership in shaping discourse around nature-positive cities.

Design Trends Shaping Singapore in 2026

Singapore’s landscape design priorities continue to evolve. From the “City of Nature” vision of 2020 to the post-pandemic vision of rewilding, the future points towards a deeper integration of nature and wellness-based solutions within urban systems. This is reflected in a number of Singapore’s projects this year including Rainforest Wild Asia, The Reef at King’s Dock and the Buona Vista Node. Each one demonstrates how nature-based solutions can enhance resilience and integrate with the existing environment.

As we head into 2026, our mission remains unwavering: to elevate the role of landscape architecture in shaping liveable, resilient and emotionally-resonant cities. With an expanding portfolio, growing regional presence and a strengthened team, Grant Associates Singapore is poised to lead new conversations and deliver design outcomes that reconnect people with the natural world in profound and lasting ways.

“2025 has been a year of meaningful momentum for our team — not just in the work we’ve delivered, but in the partnerships, talent and ideas we continue to cultivate. Our focus for 2026 is to keep pushing boundaries, designing landscapes that inspire, heal and bring people closer to nature.”
