Grant Associates were part of the winning competition team to design the VeloPark for London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The aim is to create a parkland setting within which the function, movement, spectacle and joy of cycling are celebrated. In legacy, post 2012, the intention is the VeloPark will form a unique regional and community cycling centre.

A variety of cycling disciplines will be accommodated in addition to the 6000 seat Velodrome, including a road cycle circuit, mountain bike trails and BMX track, each with their own course requirements.
