Studied Landscape Architecture at University of Gloucestershire (2011–2014) and studied Creative Arts at Bath Spa (2004-2007).
Jon joined Grant Associates in May 2014 after completing his Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Gloucestershire. During his studies Jon was shortlisted for the Landscape Institute Royal Docks competition and had his design for a modular, self-sustaining community displayed at Eco Build 2014.
Since joining Grant Associates, Jon has worked on wide range of UK based projects, including a large-scale retail development in Southampton, the AELTC Wimbledon 2020 masterplan, the new Midland Metropolitan Hospital in Birmingham and a Red & Yellow Care centre in Clapham, London. He is currently working on a prestigious company headquarters and R&D facility in Warwickshire and has been developing office protocols for BIM and Revit.
Jon has previously spent over 10 years working as a landscape gardener, bringing an eye for detail and an understanding of the practicality and reality of designing and building both functional and exciting landscapes.
He has an interest in creating truly self-sufficient and sustainable designs that incorporate the latest technology, enabling communities to be as self-sufficient in water, energy and food, specifically on post-industrial landscapes.
